MAX Studio FAQ

Yes and no. Both DART and MAX use PNG image files for targets and zones. However, targets in DART MAX are more feature-rich.

• MAX uses high resolution images for much better visual fidelity

• MAX targets can have different images on the front and back

• MAX targets can have up to 15 zones (compared to 8 for DART)

So, while you could use the same PNG files from DART, they would not look as good as target images made for MAX.

In addition, the .TGT data files from DART are not compatible with DART MAX, so once the target images are created, you will need to use the Flat Target Editor in MAX Editor or MAX Studio to assemble the pieces together (along with scoring information), to create the final target.
