Object Types
DART courses are populated with objects. Some objects such as flat targets, TruTargets, reactive targets, and video targets are designed to be shot. Others, like props, viewpoints, groups, and lights, are meant to make the scene or scenario more realistic.
3D Models are 3D objects and 3D scan data that can be imported directly into Studio. MAX Studio Only
3D Targets are static and swinger-reactive targets with flat targets attached to them.
AI Targets™ are objects with motion and/or behaviors already assigned to them.
Flat Targets simulate traditional paper targets used on shooting ranges.
Groups are collections of objects linked together so they can be positioned, rotated, and scaled as one.
Images are flat 2D images that make great backgrounds or stage instructions.
Lights can be controlled and animated to light a scene.
Props are 3D objects that can populate a scene. A prop can be as simple as a box or as complex as an entire scene with embedded lights.
Reactive Targets are 3D objects with pre-defined scoring zones like a TruTarget but with physics-based animation. These include objects stored in the 3D targets folder.
Timers are handy objects that can be used to time any event inside the simulation.
Score objects will track the score of a stage, course, or a particular target.
TruTargets™ are 3D human characters that move and behave naturally. MAX Studio Only
Video Scenarios are full-screen video courses.
Video Targets are similar to Flat Targets but use video textures instead of static bitmap images. These include objects stored in the Video Scenarios folder.
Viewpoints represent the position and orientation of the shooter in the virtual world and directly affect the view the shooter sees during a course.
